What is Glamour Photography?
The term "glamour" means alluring beauty. Glamour photography is photographs of women in evening gowns, cocktail dresses, and current clothing fashion trends. Glamour portraits became popular in the 1980's with the company "glamour shots!". Today glamour portraits are similar to photographs you will find of popular celebrities or the cover of Vouge or Glamour magazine. As women, we spend endless amounts of time and money pampering ourselves with beauty products and services, clothing, accessories, fitness and even plastic surgery to make us feel beautiful. By investing in portraiture of ourselves, we can capture and document our beauty to treasure for a lifetime.
Do you do touch ups or airbrushing?
Yes, touch ups are done on all printed products such as matted prints, albums, or canvas wall art.
I have a little problem area that I don't like about by body - is there anything you can do?
Regardless of age or body type, I specialize in offering all women an incredible opportunity to commission their own personal collection of stunning, modern glamour portraits. Every woman is very different and has something incredible to capture. My beauty retouching includes skin perfecting, body contouring and feature enhancement. Every detail is covered from wrinkles to acne, scars, cellulite and stretch marks. You don't have to worry about these little imperfections. I have everything covered.
Do you offer hair and makeup services?
Yes! Hair and makeup is included with the classic session and is part of the glamour experience.
Are glamour pictures still flattering for someone that is curvy?
Yes! I have photographed women of all shapes, sizes, and ages. Glamour pictures are flattering for everyone.
Will my session be with a female photographer?
Yes! We are an all female team including the makeup artist, photographer, and retouch artist.
If I choose to have my portrait session done on location is that included?
The studio is available to use for free. If you want to do your portrait session on location then we will just need to plan in advance before the day of your shoot. Some locations charge a fee to take pictures and require an appointment.
Do you need a deposit to reserve my photo shoot?
Yes, I need a non-refundable half down (50%) retainer and a signed agreement to reserve your photo shoot. Easy online booking is available.
Do you provide the outfits or is that something I would provide?
I highly recommend that you bring your own outfits for your photo shoot because it will fit correctly and it will fit your personal style. We highly recommend renting a glamours dress from renttherunway.com.
How many prints are included with my portrait session?
The session fee is for the photographers time and talent. The photos are available to purchase a la carte after the shoot.
How do I book you for my glamour portrait shoot?
You can book and pay your retainer online, visit the pricing page, and click "Book Now". The remaining balance for your session is required in full the day of your photo shoot right after your session.
Do you give the client the rights to the pictures?
Yes! You will receive a retouched digital file for any photo you order. Our high resolution discs give our clients permission to print from the disc. Also, my high resolution files are always free of any watermark or logo.
How can I view my pictures after the photo shoot?
After your session grab lunch or a snack and return to order your photos the same day in studio!
Do you take credit cards?
Yes! I can accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal.
Do you edit all of my photos?
Yes, the photographs are adjusted for the correct exposure, sharpness, color balance, and contrast.
Will my images be shown on your website or in your studio?
The images shown on my website, blog and in-studio displays are shown with the client's permission only. You can decide to share approved images or to keep all of your images private. If you choose to keep your images private then your images will not be seen by anyone other than our employees. I fully understand and respect the privacy of my clients.
How many images will I have to choose from?
Many images are captured during your session. Afterward, each image is put through a careful selection process. You will see only the images that meet our standards. Images that do not meet these standards are deleted permanently during the selection process. As a general rule you will see 50-75 images for every hour of shooting.
My session is booked - how do I prepare?
In preparation for your shoot, please think of the following things: Hair touch-ups, waxing, eyebrow shaping, manicure, pedicure, tanning and moisturizing. Once your session is booked, I will send you my Client Guide which goes into further detail regarding preparation.
