Today I got in some awesome new sample albums. This a 10x10 coffee table album with a photo cover and photo paper pages. The little album is a 6x6 parent duplicate. I'm excited to be offering these stunning albums for 2011.

A note: I've been putting off posting this wedding on the blog because I get a little emotional thinking about sharing these pictures. This is my little sister's wedding that happened back in August. A very special thank you to Heather at Heather Nan Photography for shooting this wedding with me. If it wasn't for Heather we wouldn't have any group pictures and I would have completely lost my mind. The picture below is of my sister and I when we took a cruise together back in May. At that time she wasn't engaged. Rachel and Matt announced their engagement 6 weeks before the wedding. Gasp! They had only 6 weeks to plan. Then Rachel told me she decided to do her own flower arrangements minus the walking flowers. I volunteered to help do the flowers at my house. Two days before the wedding boxes and boxes of whole sale flowers arrived at my house. Rachel and I spent 2 days strait on our feet putting together flower arrangements in the TV room downstairs. This is something I wouldn't wish on any bride or family member. We were very tired! I honestly took on more then I should have for my sister's wedding. The day of the wedding I had to deliver the flowers, help set up, photograph the wedding, and wear a nice dress and be in the photos. If Heather wasn't there to help out with covering the wedding I would have killed over right after the ceremony.

This was one of those early mornings up Millcreek Canyon in October. It was so beautiful seeing the sun come up over the mountains. Sandy and Kyle has their wedding on October 1st back in Texas. Today I wanted to feature Alexis and Adam's stunning wedding album. Alexis decided to go with a chocolate coppery leather and a cursive font. Simple, clean, and classic. I always get really excited when a wedding album arrives at the studio because it's the final result of all that hard work of shooting, editing, designing, and retouching. It's so hard to give them over to the brides because I secretly wish I could keep all of the albums for my own enjoyment.

Back in the summer I submitted a photo of one of my sample albums from Kelli and Brian's fall wedding. Brian and Kelli's wedding colors were royal purple, orange, and copper. I was one of the 8 winning photographers that got a custom album slip cover made. The slip cover design was inspired by the cover of the wedding album. A memorable moment of the honeymoon: We stayed at the Sheraton which is right next to Black Rock where we spent every day snorkeling and relaxing on the beach.

Super cute engagement session in Park City, Utah. I went to the University of Utah with Laura's sister and we were both in the photography program. I was thrilled when Laura told me she got engaged. I'll be shooting their wedding at the Salt Lake Temple on November 6th.

A memorable moment of the honeymoon: Being ultimate tourists and trying a lot of excursions, but also sitting on our patio looking out on the ocean, drinking coffee and playing rummi 500!

Unique details: I wanted to be able to keep my bouquet after the wedding. So we brainstormed and came up with the button flower bouquet. It turned out really nicely, and we ended up using buttons as the theme for the wedding.MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT

Bride's answer: After the ceremony when we left to change into our wedding attire, I told him I'd see him soon, looking beautiful. He replied "You already are more beautiful than I could imagine." Then walking out and seeing my husband all dressed up in his suit waiting for me was awesome.

Groom's answer: Waiting to go into the ceremony room at the temple, sitting quietly holding hands. HONEYMOON

Place: Road trip to Yosemite and San Fransisco

A memorable moment of the honeymoon:
On the drive back, we were pretty tired and had been driving for a long time. Blake was driving, and we stopped to get some gas. We pulled out of the gas station and Blake was driving on the wrong side of the road. After about half a mile, he turned to me and asked "Am I driving on the wrong side of the road?" That's when I decided I better take a turn driving.

Don't be afraid to have have some personal time. It's a big adjustment, so being alone is nice sometimes.VENDORS

Bridal gown: I chose to have my gown custom made for me by a lady in Pensylvania on etsy. It was not a good idea. After having it arrive late (less than a week before the wedding.) it was AWFUL. The sleeves were two different lengths, the waistband was sewn in crooked. It wasn't even salvageable. My mom got on the phone and called all of the bridal shops that I had gone to. They pulled the dresses that I liked for me and the next day we went into Bridal Image. They were so kind, and helpful. The same thing had happened to them. I found a dress that was very lovely, and didn't need alterations. They cleaned it for me and had it ready to go!

Hair and Makeup: My sister in-law

Bridesmaids' dresses: I chose the fabric and the girls made skirts.
