BEFORE THE WEDDING

Occupations: Amy is a manager , Ricky is on a Marketing team

How the couple met: We worked together at Logoworks by HP for over 2 years before Ricky convinced Amy to go out with him.

How he proposed: It was a quiet, private proposal early one morning, after Rick had a sleepless night and knew he had to do it.

Bridal shower/Bachelorette party: Amy's girlfriends threw a fun shower on Halloween morning, complete with an appearance by Jack the "stripping" Elf.

Bachelor party: 10 guys in Vegas for a weekend. Who knows what antics took place???WEDDING

Wedding music: Live music provided by Cubworld (Jake Kongaika). We went on our first date to his concert.

Wedding song: You Are The Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne

Menu: The Traveling Chefs provided delicious pastas with salads and breadsticks and yummy treats

Cake: Kneaders Bakery...it was delicious

Colors: Navy blue and ivory

Flowers: We did them ourselves...one effort to cut costs

Décor elements: Lots of candles and flowers and photos

Unique details: The fireplace mantle was one of the favorites...MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT

Bride's answer: The ceremony was really special and a happy, calm moment for me. Seeing all of our family and friends gathered together for us was really cool too.

Groom's answer: The temple ceremony was the highlight.HONEYMOON

How the couple met: online

How he proposed:
The Sunday after Thanksgiving, on a walk at the Bountiful Temple..... everything went wrong, but she still said yes.

Bridal shower/Bachelorette party:
Colby had one bridal shower at their home thrown by a close friend, and one thrown by her boss.

Bachelor party:
Texas Hold 'um, guitar hero, and pizza at Eric's brother's house.WEDDING

The Point at the Huntsman Cancer Institute

Wedding music:
We made a custom Ipod mix that Colby accidentally deleted the morning of the wedding. She re-did it quickly while getting ready, and then we left it at the house. We had the piano on auto play during dinner, and a guest loaned their ipod for dancing.

Wedding song:
It was supposed to be "The Best is Yet to Come" sung by Michael Buble, however we danced to LOVE by Frank Sinatra

Menu:
Fruit, spinach artichoke dip, tomato mozzarella and pesto sandwiches, veggie sandwiches, Thai chicken skewers

Cake:
Amaretto and chocolate with a raspberry filling in between, and coconut vanilla

Colors:
brown, and champagne

Flowers:
White tulips, roses, and hydrangeas, with fern curlsMOST MEMORABLE MOMENT

Bride's answer:
Holding hands across the alter during our sealing, and knowing that we were married forever.

Groom's answer:
Watching Colby and her dad come out of the doors of the Temple.

* though neither of us will ever forget walking out of the temple into the blizzard that started while we were inside*HONEYMOON

Place:
4 day cruise to Catalina and Ensenada, and then a day at Disneyland

A memorable moment of the honeymoon:
Spending a day at Disneyland together (plus it was the first day of the honeymoon that Colby wasn't super sick)


WEDDING ADVICE
Set realistic goals; ours we're to actually get married and have a piece of cake, and everything else was just a bonus. Things WILL go wrong, but that isn't the point. The point is to enjoy the day with the love of your life and not to stress over what does and doesn't go as planned.

The Mayan in Sandy. It started as a joke, but people from out of town were so excited at the prospect of cliff divers that we had to go.

Utah Engagement Photographer - Alicia + Brandon

I had a blast shooting Alicia and Brandon's engagement pictures on Saturday. We shot half of the session outside and the other half at the Utah State Capitol. It was cold but a lot of fun. I'll be shooting their wedding in on February 6th at Noah's. Enjoy.
