An Maternity Session is a completely different experience than regular family portraits and it's certainly not something we do everyday. For some of us, it's a once in a lifetime experience and, as such, many questions may come to mind. The following information has been designed to answer some of the frequently asked questions, from wardrobe selection, to picking up your final products. What is Maternity Photography?

Maternity photography are portraits of a woman while she is pregnant and the baby belly is showing. It is sometimes referred as "belly pictures" or "pregnancy pictures". By investing in portraiture of ourselves, we can capture and document our beauty to treasure for a lifetime.

Do you do touch ups or airbrushing?

Yes, touch ups are done on all printed products such as large prints and albums.

Do you provide hair and makeup service?

Yes! Hair and makeup is available and is an important part of the photography experience.

Do you need a deposit to reserve my photo shoot?

Yes, I need a non-refundable session fee and a signed agreement to reserve your photo shoot. Easy online booking is available.

Do you provide the outfits or is that something I would provide?

I highly recommend that you bring your own outfits for your photo shoot because it will fit correctly and it will fit your personal style. We have a few maternity dresses available if you would like to wear what we have.

How many prints are included with a boudoir session?

A session is for the photographers time and talent. The photos are available to purchase a la carte after the shoot.

How far in advance should I do my maternity session before the due date?

We recommend doing your session 4-6 weeks before your due date. Keep in mind some babies arrive early so if you have a good sized baby bump then it's time to schedule.

How do I book you for my maternity shoot?

You can book and pay your session fee online, visit the pricing page, and click "Book Now". The photos are purchased separately from the session fee.

Do you give the client the rights to the pictures?

Yes! With high resolution discs I give my clients permission to print from the disc. Also, my high resolution files are always free of any watermark or logo. You will receive a retouched digital file for any photo you purchase.

How can I view my pictures after the photo shoot?

After your session grab lunch or a snack and return to order your photos the same day in studio!

Do you take credit cards?

Yes! I can accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal.

Do you edit all of my photos?

Yes, the photographs are adjusted for the correct exposure, sharpness, color balance, and contrast.

How many images will I have to choose from?

Many images are captured during your session. Afterward, each image is put through a careful selection process. You will see only the images that meet our standards. Images that do not meet these standards are deleted permanently during the selection process. As a general rule you will see 50-75 images for every hour of shooting.

My session is booked - how do I prepare?

In preparation for your shoot, please think of the following things: Hair touch-ups, eyebrow shaping, manicure, pedicure, and moisturizing. Once your session is booked, I will send you my Client Guide which goes into further detail regarding preparation.
